I need direction!

This is a "if you were me" question open to all responses! Generally looking for where to go now.

Ok, so I've been working out for 4 yrs, lost 25kgs, now 54kgs, ? % body fat. Eat around 1700 cals a day on a 40/30/30 which I tend to get near, but often have more carbs and lower fat. I have a sweet tooth and I like wine.

I have started lifting this year, just finishing NROLFW during which I have seen good strength gains considering what I started at. I now ponder where to go from here. I want to improve strength, I want to move from the skinny look to the ripped (for a Mum of 3) look. I don't know if my diet restricts that as I have quite a bit of sugar - does that matter? I hear a lot of 'abs are made in the kitchen' talk. True?

  • lol, abs are made in the gym, period! hard work!! Of course diet help...

    go gain strength you will need to increase weight / decrease reps, but to get ripped you need lighter weight with more reps...choices choices :)
