I have a veg soup stock recipe I'd like to try. But I have a problem with figuring the calories, carbs, proteins, etc. It calls for onions, carrots, celery, minced garlic, water & spices. After cooking, the veggies get strained out so only the "flavored water" part (the stock) is left. It certainly is less calories, etc than with all the veggies. How do I figure it out? What do I enter? Help me please!!!

Oh my gosh. Is that the brisket from yesterday? I am drooling. I just ate pizza and I would love some of that brisket for dessert.0 -

That's probably the closest you will get.0 -
Why not blend them up and leave them in? Seems a shame to waste them.0

Er... That would sort of defeat the goal of making a clear broth.
The calorie content of your broth is negligible. Just track whatever else you put into your eventual soup.
Btw to make a more full bodied broth, start by roasting the veggies at a high temperature.0 -

The calorie range for various commercial vegetable stocks looks to be 5-20 calories per cup. Maybe go with 10?0
