I cut the normail cereal mix (chex, pretzels, Cheerios) with air popped popcorn and whole wheat squares (for the life of me I can't think of the brand name, but its the plain 100% whole wheat gross tasting ones) I also add nuts. Not much will fix the butter issue but I use real butter not margarine as I feel real food is better. When I count it I consider it the same as eating nuts so I only have 1/2cup or so.

Using butter, brown sugar and cinnamon instead of spices is super yummy too although I wouldn't call it healthy

    Seasoned Snack Mix

    Ingredients
    3 cups Rice Chex
    3 cups Corn Chex
    3 cups Cheerios
    3 cups pretzels
    2 tsp Worcestershire
    2 tsp butter-flavored sprinkles
    1/2 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 tsp seasoned salt
    1/2 tsp onion powder

In a 15 in x 10 in baking pan, combine cereals and pretzels. Lightly coat with
nonstick cooking spray; drizzle with Worcestershire sauce.

Combine the remaining ingredients and sprinkle over cereal mix.

Bake at 200 for 1-1/2 hours, stirring every 30 min. Cool completely, store in air-tight container.
