Thank you, awesome post. I have been putting off getting up early to do my 30 day shred DVD but you've just given the motivation I needed to stop procrastinating and just do it. Congratulations on your amazing loss!

But I really didn’t know what to eat, so I went on success stories in the community and looked for everyone who had lost 100 lbs or over and asked to be their friends. Then I looked back at their diaries and saw what they had been eating and what their stats were, like protein, sugar, carbs, etc. I then tried to replicate the stats by using foods that they were but only the ones I liked. So if someone was eating bulger or spinach and I didn’t like that, I would seek out something else that others were eating that made my numbers come out good.

And this is the key right here. You found someone who was in same starting position as you, and succeeded, so you emulated their behavior.

Even better, you took the time to understand what really mattered (calories, macros) vs. didn't matter (the actual type of food) and so you didn't force yourself to eat stuff you hated. Because of this, you've probably built up a sustainable habit that's easy to follow, because you like the food!

    Well done!!

You sir are very inspiring :flowerforyou:

Thank you, this is just what I needed to hear today. I often think it is a race to get this weight (170 lbs) off and I forget that it didn't happen overnight. I have my mini goals in place and I am learning so here at MFP. Good luck to you on your last goal!
