it's so hard to say goodbye

You've been there for me through thick, and a little bit of thin.
You're faded, worn, and comfortable, and just the right shade of blue.
However, I feel like I'm wearing a denim tent around my legs.
So, to my favorite pair of jeans, this is goodbye.
I'm sorry our relationship can no longer go on, but I've moved on.
You no longer fit my needs, and I'm tired of going back to you.
So, enjoy your little corner on the top shelf of my closet.
You'll be there for a very long time, until I find you a new home.
(or unless the slim, remote chance occurs that I am pregnant again,
which if it ever does happen I'm going to dig you right back out!)
