I'm just back to juicing as of yesterday, adding 1 green juice daily. Will probably add another juice next shopping trip, prefer carrot, orange, beet as my 2nd.
I did lose 12 lbs earlier this year with juicing 2-3 times a day.... it was pretty easy so hoping another stint will produce some good results and motivate me to get some exercise too.
Initially I watched Joe Cross's "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" and became quite interested after that. There is tons of info and groups outside of MFP about juicing. I joined a group on FB that was very helpful in the beginning.
I got the $99 juicer at Costco and it has done the job well for me. I do prefer juice over smoothies due to the texture. I can slam a juice down real quick if short on time... and at first the taste is a bit tough, you get used to it and then it's ok. Smoothies just seems too thick to me. I'm not a fan of pulp and seeds, that's just me.
Other than weight loss, I am also back to juicing because of how much energy I had and felt healthier. Getting so many veggies in with a little fruit really is good for you and I will not be eating that many at any time so this works for me. Sorry I let it slip away actually.
So I'm back! Hope you at least try it. Good Luck!

I'm on day 3 - primarily to jump start eating right and to get my energy levels back up. Planning to juice for 10 days.

Check this website out. As for filling, whoever told you that lies.:grumble:

So it's not filling? Why would people do it then?

rebootwithjoe.com is a great place to start...I've been doing it for 9 days and lost 15 pounds. Just watching the video of his journey got me going. Why people would do it?....to jump start you into eating better. I was originally going to do it for 10 days, but I think I'm going for at least 30 days at the minimum.
