Hey everyone.
Starting on here today. I have a 75 pound weight loss goal.
I found this website after being told by my doctor that I have to follow Canada's Food Guide perfectly yet only consume 500 calories a day.
Yup. 500 calories. A day.
So, I have decided to take control of my own weight loss. I am using this site and doing ViSalus at the same time.
If anyone wants to chat let me know!
Take care everyone! Best of luck!

I want to say get a new doctor since that sounds insanely low, but what do I know. I am not a doctor, but I have seen one on TV.

Welcome. And may I join the many others who will say 500 calories a day is a starvation diet with no long term sustainable weight loss results.
I've lost 45 pounds since last year and I did it in a healthy way and have been maintaining since March. You can do this!0 -
Your doctor recommened you go on a 500 a day calorie diet?
How do some doctors get their licences?0 -

I was introduced to this from a friend who is on it and more active than I am. She called me and said that I can lose weight too on this diet even if I am not very active at all. She is right, I started back about February and then I had a fall back with a few things and went off of it, but I am back on the diet again for even my Doctor requested me to go back on it ... i was at 239lbs when starting again and now i am at 229lbs. i feel great. too and happy to be back on the atkins diet again0
