I range from 1300 to 2000 a day depending on how much I exercise and how hungry I am. Most days I make an effort to stay over 1500.0

I'm like wiseg2, I vary my calories based on how hungry I am, not on a preset plan. I have my calorie allotment set at 1 pound a week weight loss (which as of last week was 1850 calories) and I tend to treat that as my daily maximum, but it would probably be fine if I went over that once a week.
Sample calories from this last week: 1435-1733-1839-1315-1808-1345--1600.
It has worked well for me... I'm down 13 pounds in 4 weeks without exercise. I do have a lot of weight to lose, however, which might make me lose faster.0 -
I have also heard this called calorie cycling. Some people give them selves extra calories on certain scheduled days on MFP by putting in 'fake' exercise. I too like the idea of listening to your body and if you are hungry go with it once a week. I think some of us need this and I suspect I may be one. I often seem to losed on days I don't exercise for example. Interesting post.0
