Recalculating calories after weight loss

Does MFP automatically recalculate your daily calorie intake when you lose or gain weight? Or do you need to fill out your profile again? When is a good time to reassess how many calories you should eat in a day - after 5 pounds lost? 10? More?

my trainer has reassessed my caloric intake after every 10lbs lost.. i dont use the MFP calculation so not sure how it works0

MFP is supposed to ask you if you want to update your goals I think every 10 pounds. If you want to do it manually, just go to My Home->Goals->Change Goals and pick Guided.0

I've actually never recalculated my calories. I've been set at 1680 a day since I started, and I've lost pretty steadily. I might just be lucky though.0
