Do i realy have to eat in the morning?

Hi im wondering if i can skip the beakfast, im not able to eat in the morning and i always been like that. Is it going to slow down my weight loss if i dont eat in the morning? thanks

It will because eating in the morning gears up your metabolism and so helps you burn more calories, plus it stops you overheating later. If you really can't stomach a meal how about a fruit smoothie?0

eat when your body tells you it needs fuel. your body does not know it's time for breakfast. I don't eat anything until mid to late morning....because that's when I get hungry.0

I second this. My husband and I both Intermittent fast. I highly recommend it.

Skipping breakfast is no harm, as long as you achieve your daily caloric intake and hit your macronutrient intake needs. As a matter of fact, fasted training while utilizing something like an Intermittent Fasting regimen (Fast for 16 hours, Eat for 8 hour window) will INCREASE your fat loss without any effect on your metabolic rate. This also will stabilize your blood sugar/insulin levels BETTER than eating spread throughout the day. Don't believe me? Do your research....
Seriously. Don't listen to the "Eat 3-4-5-6-7" times a day crowd. It has been disproven to have any effect, other than a mental/placebo effect for SOME people to control urges to eat, but totally not necessary.0 -

Meal timing means nothing , when it comes to affecting body composition its CALORIES IN VS CALORIES OUT.
Stay in your calorie bracket for the day/week/month that's all that counts . eat when you want0 -
When I'm on my fast days I skip breakfast and with the time I'm just not that hungry and I rather save my calories for later.
In normal days, sometimes I eat breakfast and sometimes I don't, depending on my hunger. I used to think that I "had" to eat breakfast because of the metabolism, and it only end up in me gaining weight and being overweight.
So yeah, the timing is so not accurate and true.0 -

OP, if you dont want breakfast, dont eat breakfast. as long as ou hit your calorie goal you will lose weight, doesnt matter when you eat.0 -
I actually have a problem getting enough calories while I am doing IF. I am not hungry at all in the mornings and don't eat until 1ish. It has been great so far. If you are not hungry at 7 in the morning don't eat.0

My husband and I noticed recently, especially after we started IF, that the worst perpetrators of the "breakfast is the most important meal of the day", are companies that are selling breakfast products. Gee...go figure.0 -

sorry but this is wrong..meal timing has nothing to do with metabolism..and breakfast has nothing to do with jumpstarting anything..
plenty of people - myself included - have done IF, skipped breakfast, and lost weight...
OP if you do not want to eat breakfast then don't....
You can eat one meal a day or 24, your choice...but just realize that either has no impact on weight loss...0 -

You absolutely do NOT have to eat at any particular time of the day. As long as you are getting your calories at some time during the day, you are good.0

That increase in metabolism is created from the thermic effect of the food eaten referred to as TEF Some food take take longer to digest, protein for example, vegetables are another food higher in TEF, where fat is pretty much 0.
If we look at 2 people consuming 1800 calories a day where one person consumes 6 meals and the other 3 this is how TEF effects the numbers. And I'll use 10% for TEF as the increase in metabolic rate to comparison purposes.
3 meals, 600 calories = 1800
6 meals, 300 calories = 1800
600 x 10% = 60 x 3 = 180 calories for digestion
300 x 10% = 30 x 6 = 180 calories for digestion.

If you're hungry in the morning and skip breakfast, it can be bad because you're probably more likely to overeat later on. Your foods of choice then will also probably be not as good as you just want food/sugar fast, rather than spending more time preparing something that fits your goals.
If you're not hungry, or just never felt up to eating in the morning, don't worry about it. Meal timing is irrelavent, your body doesn't know the difference between 9am and 1pm for example. It just knows when it needs fuel (food) and when it doesn't. If you first feel hungry at 1pm and eat then, what's the harm?

They eat at those set time-frames because that is when they feel best eating / when they feel hungry, not because it helps them lose anymore weight.
Ex:
Person A: TDEE IS 2500, they eat 2000 a day spread across 6 small meals, 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, and 10pm.
Person B: Same TDEE, same calorie intake, spread across 1 big meal, 6pm.
Calories in VS out should mean that they both lose the same amount of weight. There are many reasons for both options, time you have in the day to prep eat meals, how frequently you feel hungry, how much you can eat in one sitting.... but it's not because one with help you lose weight more than the other.
Obviously for overall health and body comp one would assume macros/micros were the same in both instances too.0 -
i hate breakfast and im not hungry for it until about 10 or 11 am. dont SKIP breakfast, just eat it when you are hungry for it.0

If you aren't hungry, then don't eat. The time of day that you consume food is irrelevant except in terms of how you feel.0 -
