the only diet that works is 'eat less' diet no miracles, no shortcuts12

That's not entirely true Anna. I eat more now than I used to when I was fat. Yet I continue to lose weight. 1, I eat healthier, much much healthier. And 2, I exercise a lot. A minimum of 60 minutes of cardio a day. I hate blanket statements that include the word "ONLY". You can't possibly have taken every single possible option into account.35

What a silly concept.Just burn more energy than you eat each day and you will loose the wieght. Eat less, move more and slowly slowly you will catch yer monkey my friend. Simples!3
-
Sounds rather silly to me and this statement is patently false "Since the body is constantly ingesting and digesting food the digestion system is always up and running burning energy to do this work"
There's no "energy burning" difference between 16 x 100 or 2 x 800 or 1 x 1600.
My major reservation is that I would be surprised if people had a really balanced diet when only ever eating tiny snacks.
Doesn't seem like a sustainable way to eat for an extended period of time. Never eat out, never have a meal with friends and family - no thanks.13 -
Most of the meals and snacks I eat are over 100 calories, I'd have no chance. Also preparing and eating food every hour for 16 hours when would you have time to go for a walk or do any exercise, or do anything else for that matter.5
-
wait is this a joke?3

If you didn't have a job...or a life...or anything else to do ever...AND you could sit home letting the clock tick away waiting for the 12 to click each hour AND had the time to pre-plan 16 snacks in advance and agreed to never have a real meal...This would be doable. Perhaps one of the more unrealistic plans I have ever seen.5

What a silly idea0

I suppose it makes sense. It suggests you're to eat 1600 kcals a day which isn't terrible. My main concern is that your acid levels in your mouth will be raised all day leading to tooth decay.
So you might as well eat the 1600 in 3 meals. Same intake, less tooth decay.5 -

^^ This.
I won't do this diet anymore. I'll just have my 250 meal.0 -
This is another form of playing with meal timing, which is fine. On average if you're awake for 12-16 hours, no problem.
That said, I am not able to do the snack every two hours deal. I never feel satisfied, so I break my meals up into 3 or 4 and feel much fuller.3 -
Sounds like a silly fad diet to me.1

Eat less. Move more.
Calories in vs. calories out.
Keep it simple and sustainable.
This diet sounds like a headache, IMHO, and would be incredibly difficult to maintain.3 -

Yes, more gimmicks. But people seem to like them, so they just keep coming...I personally don't do diets - they're just temporary fixes. Sticking with healthy habits long-term and eating only what my body needs has worked out pretty well for me. :flowerforyou:1 -
Not directing this at the OP at all, but having read this.....
This is seriously one of the dumber dieting plans I've read about when you look at diets that "trick you into a calorie deficit".
The amount of lifestyle interference from something like this for "most" people would be pretty high.
"Doh it's 6:04, I'm four minutes late. Better go eat those 6 green beans, that .6oz bite of chicken, and take my eye-dropper of olive oil".
Seriously, this is a horrible plan.4
