Obesity rates in the fifty states leveled off last year in every state but one, countering a three decade trend of ever-increasing rates, according to a new report from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Arkansas is the one state that saw the percentage of its population who are obese rise. The rate in Arkansas grew from about 31 percent to 34 percent.
Every other state held steady.
Still, nationwide 69 percent of Americans are either overweight or obese.
The researchers say the leveling off they see is evidence that efforts to curb the ever expanding waistlines of Americans are working.
But, are they? Or, have we just gotten so fat we cannot gain anymore?
What do you think?

I see more friends and family trying to manage or lose weight where I live, so I'm hoping it means we are finally getting a handle on it!
