Colorado Springs, Anyone?

I'm a fairly recent transplant from Florida to Colorado Springs. I have already discovered and explored many great trails, including the dreaded Incline (best so far is 1 hour 2 minutes). I'm planning to hike the Barr to the top of Pike's Peak with my cousin this fall.
Any other Springs/El Paso County folks here?

Hey there!
Just joined MFP and saw your post. I just posted in a group about finding people that want to go up the Incline on a regular basis. Have you had any success getting some folks to join you? If so, perhaps I could join your group and go up sometime? Wanna get a few climbs in before the weather starts getting bad. Thanks! -john0 -
COS here! I can't do the incline but I know the area and Teller county way too well! Many good trails and parks out there! Good luck on the peak - its great and hard on the lungs!0

I love the incline!!! We are about an hour/ hour and a half from the Springs now but we lived there for 13 years. We like the hike to St. Peters Dome on Gold Camp Road (head up towards the zoo).0

I lived in Falcon/Peyton, about twenty minutes out of Colorado Springs, when I was nineteen. Just for, idk, three or four months. I rented the basement apartment in a friend's parents' house and there was a giant window framing the view of Pikes Peak at the top of the stairs....truly a beautiful place. I cared for their horses to help pay for my place (although I knew nothing about horses), hot tubbed in the snow, and drank at the Sufferin' *kitten* Tavern. lol Good times....

I've gotten to know a lot of the trails in the last couple of months.
I hike the Templeton at Palmer Park at least once a week. Today I was up at Spruce Mountain. I've also done Paint Mines, Gold Camp, Seven Bridges, and a few others I can't recall the names of. I've done the Incline 3 times, with a best of 1:02. I'm waiting for the summer crowds to go away before I head over there again. I hate fighting for parking.0
