MET Level

SO I am curious I got myself a BodyMedia a little over a week ago. I love it! I was just looking at all my personal best and one of them was my average MET level. I have read a little about METs and I am curious on what other peoples AVERAGE is. When I am speed walking or doing a run I can get up to 6-7 METs but on my average throughout the whole day is about 1.7 METs. Is that on the low end? How do I increase my daily average MET level?

you want to increase your daily average MET? are you willing to switch careers? something along the lines of hard, manual labor should do the trick. would you like to work as a mover? cattle rancher? how about operating one of those pedicabs? rickshaw? that would be my choice.
if you don't want to change careers, i'd suggest just focusing on your exercise METs0 -
lol....this is great. I love my BodyMedia Fit Link, and 1.7 is my average.0

1.7 MET/day seems reasonable. 1 MET for an "average" person should be your BMR. If you were 2 METS, you'd need to eat 2xBMR to maintain your weight.0
