Sugar

I am beginning this program today on the recommendation of a friend. I am baffled by the sugar allowance for my profile (24 grams for the whole day) -- I exceeded it already with a breakfast of 2 cups raw fruit (blueberries, canteloupe and pineapple) and 1/2 cup lowfat plain yogurt in a smoothie. Seriously? Am wondering if this allowance is realistic for anyone. I do not expect to eat added sugar, but this seems extreme.

    I wouldn't worry too much about sugar from fruit. As it falls under carbs, just make sure not to go over your carbs for the day.
