Burned Out.

I don't know what it is, but some days I just DO NOT have the motivation to work out or eat right. I notice that those days are outnumbering the days I actually want to eat right and exercise. It's like I'm in a constant battle!

Anyone know how to stay motivated? I don't want to lose the fight to lose weight, but at the same time I don't have enough motivation. If anyone can help me out with it I deeply appreciate it!

I know exactly how you feel. For a while, I was doing so well, but one month in, and I only lost 4 pounds. I know that's healthy, but it's so slow!!! Now I'm frustrated, stalling, and ready to give up. I wish I knew the answer! If the scale would just MOVE. Geez!!!

IMO - if you find an activity that you enjoy doing that gives you a workout, you are much more inclined to stick with it. Also, if you have a workout buddy or a personal trainer, that always helps you keep going because you have someone else waiting for you.

As far as food goes - that's entirely up to you.

Try to make the experience more enjoyable. Instead of choking down salads and smoothies, make some room in your calories for your favorite junk foods. Try working out with friends, taking a class at the gym, or just doing something active that is actually fun for you. It doesn't have to be miserable!

Hi, there. I am older than you, but I was also married very young and I am a SAHM. The key to motivation is doing it even if you don't feel like it! As the time goes on, you will hate when you miss your workouts! I am an entirely different person (not in a good way) If I don't get my workout in! For me, I had to join a gym with childcare to do this. It helps that you get a little break. I love that my gym time is my "me" time. I try to eat very healthy most of the time.

    Feel free to add me!

I try short-term challenges, like tracking perfectly or not missing a workout for a full month. I talk up those challenges to my friends via Facebook and my blog, too, and that keeps me accountable.

It's tough to stay motivated forever, but most people can stay on target for a few weeks at a time.

    Good luck.

It sounds like you are doing too much too soon! What are your eating and exercise habits? Where did you start in terms of eating and exercise?

I blogged about this awhile ago.

You should never get off the diet but if you REALLY can't exercise atleast you kept to the diet.
