so I found this site called free dieting - and so far it's helped me lose a couple of kg which is great! I hardly noticed...now...I am thinking I want to maintain at 50kg and just focus with toning as my body seems to be happy at this weight - thing is according to this calculator
if I have elevated heart rate for 30 minutes 5 times a week I apparently need 1837 calories a day? This seems SO much and I'm nervous about putting on weight....
at the moment I eat around 1300 - 1400 calories a day.
Should I really up my calories to 1837, or is this too much?

It's just a ballpark figure. Add a 100-200 calories every two weeks and watch the scale. You might be able to eat more than 1800.0

double post
Counting that one, triple actually.
And I agree with C_R. Incremental changes over a period of weeks will let you adjust into maintenance. If you go back and forth a few times, it's OK. The "goal" (if you pardon the pun) is to find the right balance.0 -

Don't forget: The more you exercise, the more muscles you use and build. Muscles require more food fuel. That's why you need to increase your macros on workout days. If you don't, your body weight will yo-yo.0

Pretty cool that we are the same height0 -
I am 5'0, 115lbs, and I NET 1880 calories on Rest Days, eating up to 2300 on workout days.
Since you are taller than me, I would think that you would need more.
Right now I'm on maintenance, but still losing around 1lb every 2 months.1 -
oh yay! This is like Christmas finding out I can eat more! Well will give it a try0
