The best results I have seen, and I creep though A LOT of pages is using the following in some fashion.
best results for flat tummy.
With barbell
Squats,
Dead Lifts
Rows
Bench Press
Clean Press
Those don't spot reduce either, sorry.
Two things make a tummy flat or not flat:
Posture
body fat
Ok there is a third:
Gas or no gas
Oh, and fourth:
A full belly can look round as you start to lean out. Actually even a full bladder can round you out
LOL! I dont' think he was saying they spot reduce as much as he was saying to lift heavy. Read between the lines please.
Those excercises are definetly the best way to lower bodyfat thru heavy lifting.0 -

Lol right back at you. I am well aware that these compound lifts are the best thing one can do overall, and that with the right diet and those moves you don't need to waste time on crunches.
However you can easily out-eat these moves just like any other exercise, and never get a flat stomach. These moves do not "burn fat" any more than any other exercises. An energy deficit "burns fat".
Abs are made in the kitchen, and while DL's are great, and way more effective for your effort than doing crunches, they aren't going to automatically guarantee a flat stomach.
Way to miss the point of someone who gets what is said and wants to focus on what really matter: the calorie deficit. Well, and posture, which is super ****ty in most people and accentuates the belly.0 -
Can't target fat loss. Lose fat all over and work on core-strengthening exercises so you have a nice toned middle to show off when all the fat is gone!0

Unfortunately there's no way to do that. It'll go away slowly with the rest of the fat you're trying to lose.
Genetics have a lot to do with where you lose your weight first, it's very random. I lucked out and I lose a little bit everywhere as I go.0 -
Can't be done. You don't target fat. You reduce overall body fat. Stomach is often the last place to go.
This!!!.... If there was a way to spot reduce Id have done so on my mommy muffin top from three kids years ago.... just work hard and get your body fat % down.. the lower your bf% the smaller and smaller it will get...
Good luck!0
