Atkins in Italian

Hi there !
English is not my first language so forgive me if I make some mistakes.
I am new to this forum. I am 23 years old and had issues to stay slim since I remember. I was never overweight. I just wasn’t slim as most of my friends, my sister, mother etc. I didn’t feel comfortable with my body at all. I would avoid wearing swimming suits at any cost, buying clothes was a nightmare and a constant disappointment. Whenever I would reach 62-63 kg I would join a gym and start a protein diet until I reached 57-58 kg ( still having my fat % high but I was happy about how I looked).
This has all changed now. I have moved to Italy where everything is about FOOD ( to my delight ). For half a year I had to travel a lot between two countries , usually on night flights and then I would just eat whatever was available because I was so tired. I had no time for gym either.
Today I have 14 kg to lose. I have decided to follow Atkins diet but control ( more or less) my daily kcal intake. At least at the beginning so that I could understand if I am eating right and in case – what should be changed.
If any of you wanted to share with me your Inductions recipes and/or send me links where I could find those I would be more than grateful. I do know what products I can eat, I just don’t know how to put it together into something tasty and something less boring than grilled chicken fillets with mayo.

Google "dieta atkins" and you'll find italian forums where you can share recipes using grams instead of cups and oz.0

My mistake, I thought you were italian0 -
Any chance I can talk you out of doing Atkins and go for IIFIYM instead?
and your English is great.0 -
Hi! It sounds to me that perhaps you should go talk to a professional about your body image issues. If you were too uncomfortable to wear a swimsuit at 62 kg, then you have some body image issues.
What is your goal weight? You say you have 14 kg to lose, which is quite a lot.
I agree with billsica that you don't need to do Atkins. No need to cut out anything, just eat at a calorie deficit.0 -
Hello Semifreddo
The Atkins diet is not so good. But look at my posting about a globe and mail article on eating better to lose weight and you will find an excellent dieting plan to follow. It is not a "diet" it is a way to eat food that works! The scientific studies show it works! And you never feel hungry!0 -
What is your first language? I am an ESL teacher.0

Any chance I could talk you out of fad dieting entirely and into portion control, eating healthy, and exercising?0

the answer is YES. The only reason why I have chosen Atkins is because it's easier for me to stick to it.0
