I'd recommend at a maximum to eat at a 20% deficit. I'd actually recommend it to be more like a 10% deficit. Losing weight too quickly will give your skin no time to adjust and also rapid weight loss means you will also lose your muscle mass.

On to a second point, you wont look ripped at 20% BF. Women need about 15% BF to start looking defined, even less to look ripped.

The 20% is based on clients I have, granted most are younger, who have 6 packs and major definetion and are at about 21% , also my daughter, who at 22% , puts most men to same. Also has a stomach to be envied. I guess all our bodies are different, I know whati want, if the 'number' doesn't get me to it I will keep going!

yea sorry, I dont know how you arrive at those BF % numbers but they are way off. No one is defined at 21 - 22% BF.

I started out at 200 pounds and i am 5ft tall. I also was about 43 % BF when i started.

My goal is to be at 20% or less in the next 3 years. I am currently at 27% BF and seem to be holding for a few months now.

I currently weight 122 lbs. I am not ripped but am starting to see the results of my efforts. Still have a long way to go and i will get there one day.

I have eaten anywhere from the 1200 cals to 1600 cals. a day. I am not in between at about 1400 most days. I was gaining on 1600. But, if my body wants to eat i will let it. I eat at about 20% below tdee but im sure it could be adjusted since i have lost so much weight in the last 15 months already.

Ripped is always a possablity if you want it bad enough. Wishing wont do it....putting in the work will. Make it your priority and realize that you are not 20 yrs old to begin with and Dont compare yourself to anyone else. Just make yourself the best version of you that you can.

    Good luck!!
