Hi everyone!

I signed up yesterday - 34, living in Scotland.

I've had lots of problems losing weight and sticking to schedules due to fairly unpredictable diabetes (type I), and have just started using an insulin pump. It made my life much much easier pretty much overnight and is giving me some hope back that I can actually exercise and reduce what I eat without having to correct those healthy "mistakes" because my sugars spiral out of control. So I thought if I'm already carb-counting like there's no tomorrow, I might as well count all the other things and make a little project of it.

Goal: 30 kgs by my wedding date in June 15. Now let's go :)

Say hi if you like, especially if you've got any experience with insulin pumps and dieting (no "my mother's friend's daughter's ex-husband" please!) This is a bit scary, but I can actually give it a real go for the first time in ages, and am actually quite looking forward to it! Got a good motivation, too, of course ;)

I don't have any experience with insulin pumps and dieting, but I did just want to say welcome and good luck! You're making a great commitment to your health and well-being, so good job. :)

Thanks, Kasey! We'll see how good a job I'll do - looks like you've been doing great so far :D So many good examples on here, that should motivate me a lot.

Welcome to MFP!! Although I have never had to use insulin, I do have a medical condition (intracranial hypertension) that has greatly improved, thanks to dieting and the support I get here. Good luck!

Thank you! I'm glad this is working out well for you :)

I really don't know much about intracranial hypertension either except from one friend who has it (following brain surgery). I see you're almost halfway there, good luck!
