Optimum Nutrition Vanilla Ice Cream. I mix it with water and ice. Sometimes I add either a banana, strawberries, or a Divinci sugar free syrup.
  • I've tried a lot of them and swear by Sun Warrior. I use both the regular blend and the Warrior blend (Warrior blend has pea protein in it). Both are vegan and I don't have the same bloating issues with them that I had with other protein powders - probably bc it doesn't have dairy in it. I'm not a vegetarian but in this case the vegan powder is what worked for me so that's what i use:)

I always buy vanilla and if i want chocolate add 1 t-1 T of Ghirardelli cocoa powder. Vanilla is so versatile and it's easy to add things to mix up the flavor.

They will send you a sample if you email them.

I like Garden of Life Raw Protein. It's easy on the body and seems less processed .

Be careful... many of them will do more harm than good.

Watch for added sugar!!!!! and remember sugar has many names... read the ingredients.

i use to use the body fortress brand, but then i found Dymatize...... best, hands down. mixes so smooth even with minimal water. now some ice, skim milk, and dymatize in a blender is more yum than should be allowed!!!

Blue Bonnet Whey Isolate. Tastes great with almond milk and some chia. Tastes good with water. No soy.

I use Matrix Anabolic Strawberry it's £44 for a 5kg tub, 40g of protein, 178cals and 6g of carbs. It does taste sweet though. Normaly just mixed with water but I have made it with Semi Skim milk and it's like drinking a milkshake.

Why bother with processed protein powder? Why not just eat real natural proteins? Just wondering about that.

    Sunwarrior Protein (chocolate).
  • Sunwarrior Classic Protein - Natural. Tastes better than Garden of Life, but I do love the ingredients in GOL

The Protein Works - Whey Isolate 90 - Choc Morello Cherry.

Tastes like a black forest gateau and that's just mixing it with water, never tried it with milk.

As a vegetarian I find it hard to meet my protein needs without supplementing with protein powder. I also just love the flavor and convenience.

I'm using Perfect Nutrition Diesel 100% New Zealand Whey Isolate.....111 calories per scoop with 27g of protein.....French vanilla flavour and I mix it with unsweetened almond milk.....and the fact that I'm from New Zealand had absolutely nothing to do with my choice....LOL...:)

Mostly, convenience. I can carry 60g of protein in a shake to work easily, but a half-pound of chicken is a little tougher because it needs to be kept cold.

I just store the tub under my desk and drop two scoops a day to boost my protein intake in a convenient form.
