Is it bad that I have a soy latte on the weekdays? I'm a college kid and nothing else seems to work not even apples which are supposed to wake you up. Will i gain weight from drinking lattes 5 days a week even if i have a calorie deficit because my friend told me they are fattening and make you gain weight. But if there is a calorie deficit, they shouldn't right?

If you're in a true caloric deficit you will not gain weight.0

No food item is inherently "fattening"0

Nope. If you are in a calorie deficit you will lose weight no matter what you eat. Just make sure you know how many calories are in the soy latte, because it would be pretty easy to underestimate it using average sizes.0

As long as it fits into your calories for the day, go for it!0

Count it in and you should be good to go.
No food converts to fat the second it enters your body. It takes time, and an overload of calories.0 -
don't listen to your friend. she doesn't understand what you're doing. nothing is "fattening" except eating too much. period.0
