logging after 12am

Options
Do yall log it as a new day or a continuation of the previous?

Another question:does it matter? At the end of the week the calorie deficit is going to be the same right so it shouldn'??

Thanks

I consider a "day" to be from when I wake up until when I go to sleep, regardless of the actual hours on the clock.

I log it as a continuation of the previous day. I don't consider it the next day until after sleeping. Yes, the calorie deficit works out the same over a week long period.

I treat sleep as the end of the day, no matter when that falls. However, you are correct - it doesn't really matter.

I work nights so I tend to go by the hour/day/calendar. But I don't think it really matters as long as everything gets accounted for.

To me, a "day" is from when I wake up until I go to sleep...so I count them as a continuation of the previous day. It all adds up at the end of the week though. :-)

I guess because I have a Bodymedia Fit, I feel a day is midnight to midnight. It all resets to zero and logging and exercise begin anew whether I am still awake or asleep. But it does feel awkward logging a just after midnight snack on the next day's diary. Like others have mentioned though, it doesn't matter at the end of the week.

You will be fine OP as long as you make the week even out.

I set it like so. Mostly because I don't eat regular timed "meals" though.

Because I work shift work, my log in time is from the time I wake in the day till the time I go to bed the next day.

I really like that! It makes more sense than my hobbit meals.

Sleep is the end of my day, so I log it on the previous day.

If I have a snack after midnight I log it as a new day cause when it turns midnight it is a new day that is what I have taught my children so I keep it that way not going to be a hypocrit

Personal choice. Really doesn't matter as long as it's in. Can't remember the last time I ate that late though, but then I don't work nights or weird shifts like many do.
