labor day food... hoagie with a spicy vegetarian sausage, tomato sauce, and cheese with cheddar dill potatoes and a sweet/spicy slaw. the potatoes were amaaaazing. i actually don't like slaw but i made it for my boyfriend and my best friend. they raved about it and said i should put it on my food blog. that's why the pictures focuses on the slaw more than the other foods ;P

Felt like a HUAAGE plate of something with minimal damage last night so had brocolli and prawns with yoghurt mixed with garam masala, lemon zest and juice and a tiny bit of raw garlic. Super yummy and was under 400 cals I think...

Had this over the weekend. Didn't make this myself unfortunately, but it's from a place called Angry Trout, a restaurant right off of lake superior north of Duluth, MN. Probably one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. It was so pretty I had to snap a picture of it before eating it lol! The fish this place serves changes every day because they only cook up and serve what fish was caught by local fishermen that day which is pretty awesome. Loved supporting the local fishermen.

made two pizzas tonight. one with veggie chicken, asparagus, and smoked gouda. the other with tomatoes, kalamata olives, feta, and basil. i love these pizza crusts - only about 300 calories for the entire crust so i'm able to make pretty damn tasty low cal pizzas. i had about 5 slices and it was under 500 calories. i barely even know how that's possible but i logged it all, haha.
Is the recipe for the crust on ur blog?!0 -
Nope - because it's a store bought crust. It's a really good one, however it's not easy to find. I know of one grocery store around here that carries it, but Amazon sells them by the 6-pack as well. They are great because they are very simple, cook up quickly (6-7 minutes), and are only 300 calories for the entire crust. For comparison a boboli crust of similar size is over 1000 calories for the whole crust. Personally I think these taste better too. I rub the edges with a tiny bit of olive oil before baking, and sometimes line the edges with a little grated parmesan or a bit of salt and pepper. Comes out crispy and delicious.
