    My Five ....
    Frasier
    The Simpsons
    Two and a half Men
    Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister
    The Cosby Show

Really tough to limit it to five, though .... I expect if I were to answer it again tomorrow Friends and The Office might find their way on!

Black Adder (All of them, but in this order, 2,4,1,3)
    Red Dwarf
    Fawlty Towers
    Only Fools and Horses
Last of the Summer Wine, because I'm from there.

Come on - the 1s Blackadder is light years behind the rest.

Au contraire my good man. It's a universally accepted truth that the third series is by far the weakest and besides the first series had Brian Blessed in it, therefore making it awesome by that mere fact alone.

It also had Peter Cooke, that still doesn't mean it's any better than the rest.
I'll agree 2 is the best, followed by 4 but 1 is last by a lon distance and if you think otherwise you're mad. You're mad. You're madder than Mad Jack McMad, winner of this years Madman competition.

What the frack?? What was wrong with series 1?? It was on par with 5 and 6!

Scrap that, make it Series 1 and 2. It only started to work for me when the permanent Kryten (Robert Lewellyn) came on board, and it only really hit its stride in Series 3. Just my opinion.

    Malcolm In the Middle
    30 Rock
    King of the Hill
1st 5 seasons of The Simpsons
    **** Van *kitten* Show
    News Radio
    Murphy Brown
    Barney Miller
    M*A*S*H
    Wonder Years
    Freak and Geeks
    Mary Tyler Moore Show

Not sitcoms, but worth the mention:

    Fernwood Tonight
    Tracy Ullman Show
    Kids in the Hall
The Gary Shandling Show (best theme song ever, by the way)

Common thread in all of the above? Damn good writing and character development.

(Edit: Funny who the censor bots bleep out "D.I.C.K" from the **** Van *kitten* show but not *kitten*)

And a few other not so "Best of" list caliber shows but guilty pleasure classics nonetheless...

    Mr. Ed
    My Mother the Car
    Green Acres
    Mork and Mindy
    Welcome Back Kotter
    My Favorite Martian
    Bewitched
