I love them!!...after reading some of the reviews I modify it a bit

I used dried chickpeas (had a bag left over from making hummus), I soaked those over night. The next day I drained them patted them drier. Put them in the oven at 450 for about 10-15 minutes, turned them and turned the oven down to 325 for about another 30. They were just about done still not golden brown enough for my liking so I turned the oven off and left them for about 10 min more. took them out and threw them in a ziploc w/salt, cayenne and sprayed a bit of cooking spary on them and then shook...They're super crunchy (like Corn Nuts) and super yummy

I tried them with canned. I freaking love chickpeas! But I didn't put them on long enough or something. They were dry but pasty and tasted nasty. I might try your method instead of canned.

i read that doing the dry roasting and then tossing them in the seasonings and stuff made them stay crisper longer too
