Can someone please explain the net calories to me? I just don't get it! should it be equal to my daily goal by the end of my day?

Net calories equal the calories you eat (and log) minus the calories you burn with exercise that you log.
You can see both calories and net calories on the site reports. Calories should equal what you logged as food.0 -
Your NET calories should be at or close to your goal at the end of the day.0

I'm so confused about how many calories I should be eating. I have been eating around 1400 a day plus exercising. I think I'm not eating enough.0

If your daily goal is 1400 and you exercise, then you should be eating more than 1400 cals.
As an example, lets say MFP gives you 1400 cals/day, and you burn 300 cals through exercise. So, you should eat 1700 cals total (1400 + 300). That means you still NET 1400. Does that make sense?0 -
yes I think I get it.... Thank you!0
