Will extra servings of fruit hinder my weight loss?

I'm a fruit fiend but have cut back to 4 servings a day out of fear that the sugar from the fruit is causing my weight stall. If I'm eating at a calorie deficit will extra servings (as in 5 or more) of fruit hinder weight loss? I'm 5'2, 113, and want to lose 5 pounds. Thanks a ton.

Unless you have a medical reason to monitor your sugar intake, don't worry about it.
Just in case you weren't aware of this feature, when you go to the message boards section, there is a button called search and you can type in a keyword/phrase (ex: sugar) and you can see the threads that have already been created on the topic. Good luck! :flowerforyou:

Just checked out your food diary, I only see two days logged with 800 cals and then 600 cals.

I kind of cycle calories, when mom cooks dinner (delicious Asian food) I usually take in a few hundred extra calories from it Not to worry, I get 2 or 3 days like that out of the week.0 -
Fruit is wonderful. Chock full of vitamins and minerals and fibre, and delicious to boot.0

I have found that when I eat extra servings of fruit I keep on the.weight. I try to stay within the range of my food plan I can't ever eat more than a cup of watermelon or I gain for a few days0

If you are eating too little than that can hinder your weight loss as well. I don't know if you have heard the phrase eat more to lose more. If you are only eating 600-800 calories even a couple times a week, that could be slowing down your metabolism. You should be eating at LEAST 1200 a day. & I wouldn't worry about the fruit/sugar unless you have a medical condition.0
