Those numbers sound very reasonable.0 -
Short answer... yes. There are longer answers. It's been covered EXTENSIVELY.0

1. Figure out your TDEE, Google it
2. Eat 20% less than that.
3. Lose weight.
Simple. :flowerforyou:0 -
Do you know how I can add my TDEE onto fitnesspal?0
-
Search change calorie goal in the forums. Also, don't forget to subtract 15-20% from your TDEE.
With this method you don't eat back exercise calories. They're already accounted for. You can still log your exercise. Just log it as a burn of 1 calorie instead of what it normally is.0 -
So basically I stick to eating 1683 calories (2104 -20%) regardless if I exercise or if I don't, correct?0

Yes, just as long as you're still getting in the amount of exercise as you set up TDEE with.0 -
Okay then. Thank you all for your help!0

Look up 'In place of a road map short n' sweet' in the forums to find your TDEE.
This. ^
The 'road map' post is a revelation. I've been eating well and losing weight since calculating my TDEE.
If you alter the amount of exercise you're doing reguarly, remember to redo your TDEE.
Good luck! x0 -
Eating 900 calories a day, burning 500 through exercise, and scared to eat more.
Please get help for your anorexia.
EDIT - Sounds like people have gotten through to you. That's great news. Good luck!0 -
How many posts are there with this exact title even..
Just troll elsewhere 1 post, 0 friends, no items filled out.
I would assume that they just got on board and maybe have no friends yet
Friends are not a requirement on MFP. Not having them does not make someone a troll. Coming to a post just post an inflammatory and rude response on the other hand ...
I will agree with that. I don't typically accept friend requests here - not trying to build a network like that - I use the forums and replies and such for the network needed. So judging off that is silly.
Now, there are a ton of 1200 calorie threads - so OP, you'll get some good advice here too, but it may be beneficial to just go read a bunch of those first before posting new threads on already massively existing subjects that are prone to trolls0 -
Oh and remember to recalculate your TDEE every 5lbs or so lost...your caloric needs will be changing as you lose.0
