That is just how it's set up. You can always create a strength training exercise under the cardiovascular section. That's what I do, I list what I did for weight lifting under the strength training section and also I created an exercise for strength training under the cardio section, because I like to keep track also of how many calories I burned (I wear a heart rate monitor). See my diary, I just got back from the gym so it's listed.

It is really hard to determine calorie burn for weight training, from what I have read.
You can use a heart rate monitor and list it under cardio, or you can use the TDEE method of calculation needed calories and not have to worry about logingncalories burned.

I always log my strength training in the cardio section. There's an exercise there, just search "strength training". It's much lower calories than running or circuit training, but that's okay … as other have said, you probably aren't burning a lot WHILE training and it's harder to determine it (most HRMs don't work for weight lifting, they are designed to work for cardio exercises.)

If your main source of exercise is your strength training, you might want to switch to the TDEE -15% or -20% … estimate your TDEE with some of the online calculators - I'd do a few and take an average. Then multiply that TDEE by .85 or .80 and that will give you your calories for the day, but it already includes your exercise calories so don't eat them back. Then you won't have to worry if you long everything in the strength section but don't get calories for them. (I still log it as cardio, but I generally don't eat them back, and it's been working for me)
