Im not sure on the slow cooker but what I did last night was chop up a whole head.

    6c shredded cabbage
    1/4 c water
    14 c splenda
    pepper to taste
1/4 c vinegar *only put in after it is cooked if you like it*

Cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1hr
Its really good. I love it!

I would think you could do that same recipe in a crock pot. Crockpots don't need a lot of water... but I'd put that 1/4 cup just to prevent burning/sticking. I'd also do it on a Saturday or day you are going to be home to keep an eye on it. :) I have a 1/2 head of cabbage that I need to use up... hmmm....
  • Its not in a slow cooker, but my favorite is pork chops and cabbage, I cook the cabbage by cutting in up in a little bigger than mouthful and putting it in a alum. foil tent and curling all the edges so no steam exits, put the oven on 350 for about 45mintues or more depending on how you like it, I like my cabbage done but with some crunchy/firm pieces. If you happen to be grilling this idea also works on the grill with whatever meat you have going.
