No wonder this has 20 pages of responses. You look incredible and you have done so so well. It's a shame that for a lot of us it took hitting rock bottom to get there but, as crap as it was then, look how much better you are for it now. Incredible, really really great.

Amazing! For once, I didn't jump to the photos before reading the post, and when I finally scrolled down to the current pictures of the 'new you' , I got chills up my spine. Your story was captivating...such a clear picture of the despair so many people experience, doing something as ordinary as getting out of a truck and walking across a parking lot to buy clothes. I love to read success stories like yours on mfp because they are inspirational and motivating, but most of us on this site have already committed to getting fit. Please consider writing a book to catch the eye of that unhappy, unhealthy person, who hasn't yet reached the tipping point of change. Show what's possible!

Great story! I totally know how you feel with the shopping. Although the highest I ever weighted was 283 lbs, it was still very difficult to shop. I used XXXL clothes and 52 in. pants. It is very difficult to get decent quality clothing at that weight.

It was depressing and it made me angry.

Being out of those stores is really liberating. I am glad I can shop pretty much anywhere now.

I too had trouble walking and with my back.

    Congratulations on your accomplishments!

Wow. I don't know what to say.

You captured exactly the way I feel about shopping at Lane Bryant (a place I refuse to ever shop in again). Your writing style is amazing and fluid and your story is absolutely captivating (and too familiar). Well done...I am so proud of you for what you have accomplished...it is nothing short of completely AWESOME! Congratulations!
  • What a truly amazing story!! You should be very proud of yourself! Thank you for sharing.
  • did this topic get too long? you guys are awsome, thanks for all the support.
