How do I know how many calories I burn? 30DS

Im newb to the fitness thing, and don't really know the "proper" names t any exercises. I just did day 2 of 30 day shred level 2. How do I go about adding this, and how do I know how many calories I burned?

I usually log it as "circuit training" but then subtract a few calories, as the estimate is a bit high.

best way is to invest in a heart rate monitor but if you cant afford one do what the above poster said and subtract about 25% of what mfp suggest as the burn

Agree with above - but would estimate its around 140 - 180. Its only 20mins of workout the rest is warmup, abs and cool down.

I read this somewhere it may be a load of BS but it comes out at 182 for me while mfp says 257 (circuit training) so I use this as it seems more realistic :ohwell:

This is however for Level one

"30 day shred calorie burn - 3.267 calories burnt per pound every hour. Multiply by weight to get how many calories per hour you would burn and divide by 3 to get each 20 minute work out "

Instead of multiplying by 3 and a bit, then dividing by 3, you could just use your weight as a rough guide for the 20 minutes.

So f you weigh 130 pounds, it burns 130 cals. If you weigh 200 pounds, then you use 200 cals etc.

or that for a quicker way  - I weighed 167 and it worked out as ~182 burnt for 20mins

At 190 pounds, I usually lost between 250 and 300 according to my HRM, but keep in mind...I did the entire 30 minutes and was sweating and huffing the entire way haha. If you weigh less, I would assume you burned anywhere from 200-250, and if you weigh more than 190, I would guess somewhere around 300.
