If you're gaining weight, then aren't you adding bulk? Therefore the term is correct, no matter how slowly you do it.

Maybe just focus on the fitness goals rather than the terminology. The terminology isn't going to be what gets you to where you want to be.0 -

The funny bone isn't a bone, and the dark side of the moon isn't actually dark, and I can't remember the last time I used a dial on a phone, or hung one up.
i thought the funny bone was the humerus which is a bone, but it isn't funny. Or at least I can't see anything particularly funny about my humeri. They're rather useful.
Actually the funny bone is the olecranon which is part of the ulna. I assume called so due to the ulnar nerve which runs superficially there. So not funny ha ha, but funny as in that feels funny.

Exactly. Half a pound a week...slow bulking. That's the term I'm using these days. And it got really slow for a while (no measureable gain for several weeks) until I increased the calories again...I'm going to have to do automatic increases of 50 calories every couple of weeks as weight goes up.

Yes definitely. Having no gain in weeks then adding 50 cals will be a dreadfully slow road. Obviously I can only see your arm and don't know where you are now and how much you want to gain so I can't say much. How much are you gaining per month now? How long have you been bulking? You say you increase 50 cals every couple of weeks, is that like every 2 weeks or every 6 weeks? What is a couple?
I've been doing this for 9 weeks or so. Have gained about 4 lbs or so of real weight. The three-week stall definnitely affected it. Goal is half pound a week. Maybe I should increase calories automatically by 25 each week instead of 50 every 2 weeks. In any case, I've been increasing much slower than this. If it's still slow going after 3 more weeks and doing the increases like this, (in other words I stall again), then I'll have to come up with a new strategy.
As of today, I'm back to the highest weight I've been in this whole program...which I first saw three weeks ago. But then I had to stop lifting as much for for a week...that's what created a lot of the stall I believe...even though I kept up the eating.0
