We want to thank all you wonderful people for your support for our decision to detox and cleanse our cupboards of the junk food. My buddy is a ex smoker and understands full well that moderation does not apply when one is giving up a bad habit.

We have learned some new tools for dealing with the junk food. That is when someone is offering junk food to usi or we are encountering it when shopping for groceries.

The Tool is called Reframing. Looking at the old with a new set of eyes. We have been taught to think of a phrase and a tune to sing when encountering the enemy, the junk food.
So here goes.

This one is my buddy's , it is from that old Frank Zappa song Don't eat the yellow snow

Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow"

the he has modified it for sodas
We all know where the huskie go and we won't drink that yellow snow
We all know what the huskies do and we don't eat that chocolate poo

Now my tune is from that old song Panama Red by New Riders of the Purple Sage you can find it on You Tube
I have a number of lyrics I sing to myself using that tune when I grocery shopping . I will share one with you.

Some of the customers broke out laughing the other day I was sing my way past the junk food aisles.
We are having so much fun with our new lifestyle changes , our trainer, our support system and we wish the same to you.

    When I think of the product flashers and what one could turn easily turn into by trying to moderate junk food I will think of the Camrillo Brillo , I don't even have to rework it.

    My target ended up not having the sandwich cream ones (Sigh) so I got the Peppridge farm Pumpkin Cheesecake and Carrot Cake. Pumpkin was A+, waiting til after dinner for the Carrot Cake but I've yet to have anything carrot cake flavored i didn't enjoy so I'm sure I'll be happy.

    My target ended up not having the sandwich cream ones (Sigh) so I got the Peppridge farm Pumpkin Cheesecake and Carrot Cake. Pumpkin was A+, waiting til after dinner for the Carrot Cake but I've yet to have anything carrot cake flavored i didn't enjoy so I'm sure I'll be happy.

    I cursed so loudly the cat went into the other room with a very put upon look in my direction. Pumpkin Cheesecake and Carrot Cake cookies?! It's a good thing I have a shopping trip planned and will be near a Target. There's some drooling going on already.

    They don't just look yummy, they are yummy. Had the carrot cake cookie (nuked for 5+5+5 seconds to avoid turning it into a rock) with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Ice cream got all melty and it. Was. So. Good.

    I bought both those as well. I found the pumpkin ones A+...the carrot cake was underwhelming, I had high hopes.
