Obviously if the goal is losing weight, I wouldn't want to reward myself with a whole specialty pizza from my favorite pizzeria, so how is it that you reward yourself?

I am buying new sneakers when I hit 100 miles on Runtastic. A massage or spa treatment would also be a great reward.0

Actually I do reward myself with food... I figure it's all that moderation nonsense, if I hit a weight goal then I deserve a treat... But. I reserve it for 10lb goals, at a lb a week that means it's a food reward every 2-3 months. Fairly soonly I assume that it will go to a lb every two weeks...0

I have not used food as a reward. That is kind of counter intuitive. Sometimes, buying myself something I have wanted works, when I can afford it that is. When I achieved my first goal, I was able to get myself a tablet. Fitting into new clothes is an awesome reward by itself. Even fitting into old clothes is amazing. I picked up a new workout shirt when I achieved another goal, at another, a workout bench, now I have better form and more comfort for my home workouts.0

I buy myself something I want, for me usually it's new workout clothes. For you it could be anything that is a splurge! I avoid rewarding myself with food because food isn't a reward it's just food.0

prior mini-goals= spa day and outfits0 -

I don't use food for rewards. If I want to eat something. I eat it. Of course in Moderation.. I do however reward myself with new clothes and shoes
These days I tend to buy more workout clothes ... just tighter and more revealing Gotta show off all this hard work. what better place then the gym0 -
Usually a fitness related item. Jump rope, new much tighter body conscious yoga pants, a glow-in-the-dark basketball, hiking sandals, new sneakers...
I don't do it at particular lb goals though, mostly I just do it every month or two as I continue my progress.
For me the number on the scale is its own reward. I am a very visual person and a "numbers" person and I love seeing the number go down!0 -
I reward myself by saving up money that I put toward entering a 5k run/walk race that I do, I am aiming to do one every ten lbs I lose or as close to every other month as I can, sometimes I get myself some new loose leaf or box tea as a healthy treat. Also for me silver earings do the trick as a reward.0

I reward by setting a higher standard of success next time. I know it sounds cheesy but I already try to work in my favorite things like whiskey and a couple cigarettes as is so no reason to reward myself that way.
Well, ok, that is kinda a lie so I'm editing. Beyond the fitness realm of trying to get things accomplished I have a few expensive hobbies that if I'm good financially for a long while I'll go buy something that goes bang.0 -
I have 4 goals to get me to my end result - and only 1 of them is food!
When I hit 142lbs (I normally plateau at 144 so this was key), I had a 30 minute massage. The next goals are:
139lbs - breakfast in a restaurant
133lbs - 60 minute massage
126lbs - designer jeans & goal weight achieved0 -
Clothes. I've found that looking nice in new clothes is enough of a reward.0

My motivation and reward is my husbands offer of a new outfit for every 10lbs lost. Works for me!0
-
My reward is seeing the little slow weight loss ticker move and the weight loss charts trending down
Nothing else I want more0 -
I reward myself by adding more weight to the barbell.
Winning answer!0 -
I buy myself a book... or four.0

My rewards are kind of big.
1. Reaching first big goal - Snowboarding trip
2. Reaching second big goal - Skydiving Excursion
3. Reach ideal fitness level - Detroit Lions Season Tickets (Good seats too!)
