I need help to do this short term goal :)

So I have this simple goal to do,
For a month I will be eating under calorie goal and will burn 500 cal daily. Doint this for all 30 days and seeing the result!
BUT, I see lots of things that could stop me from doing this like,
___Temptation to eat my fav food from the shops on the way I walk back to home from office.
___Will feel lazy to neglect burning 500 cals.
___May get into emotional eating.
How do I face this and win??

It will be great if you share your thoughts on this.
:)

  • Hei!
About the first point, I have the same problem. What I do is cook something the evening before that's basically "ready and waiting" for me when I get home from university. Something that satisfies you, is healthy and that you like eating(I'm usually really hungry by the time I get back so I could eat anything)
My favourite at the moment: couscous salad (http://lowfatcooking.about.com/od/salad1/r/couscoussalad.htm) it is just soooo good! :-)

If you're feeling lazy, write it here in your status, add some friends (you can add me, I'm online quite regularly) and they should keep you motivated (go, put on your workout clothes and you'll feel awesome afterwards!)

Hmm...the third one is tough. I'm not an emotion-eater but a boredd-eater. So have some healthy snacks ready such as grapes (in summer you can freeze them and they are a very refreshing snack), nuts (pure, not salted/roasted), apples slices or apricots with cinnamon or such :-) Experiment - make your food healthy but also yummy.

I think asking opinions can be a little risky, but I will share with you what I do when I get cravings. I drink a half unsweetened cranberry juice with one half purified or spring water. This levels my blood sugars and takes away my cravings. I treat myself once a week to what I want to eat and I eat my calories and still lose weight. The key for me is eating foods that have low calories and high in nutrition. For me empty calories are bad news. Like donuts, pop, candy and stuff with no nutritional value.
    Hope this helps
