LADIES AND WEIGHTS!! HELP PLEASE!!

So I have been working out for the past 3 months now and have lost 30 pounds!! yay! But I've hit a snag for the past month I have not been able to lose more then 2 pounds!! When it comes to weight training should I as a female be lifting heavy or lifting light and more reps. I have read that they are each good. I want to lose weight and tone. Help please
