Hello! This is not the beginning of my journey, but I've heard that people here are super encouraging, and I can always use encouragement! I hope to make some good friends as I work hard to conquer PCOS and all the pain that comes along with it. I would love to meet and encourage other PCOS ladies or anyone who has a large amount of weight to lose. Here's to continuing my year for change!

Hi.
I have given up trying to get the doctors to properly diagnose PCOS but I certainly still have all the crappy symptoms:(
Anyway happy to be your friend, I've been a little hit and miss on here for a while but would love to get back on board and have some new friends .....0 -

Thanks so much for your reply lose3stone! I'm really hoping to make some friends here too! The medical field is way behind the times when it comes to the customer experience. Hoping that will change in the future.0 -
I'm also always looking for support, tips & new research on PCOS.
I started taking D Chiro Inositol recently (almost 12 weeks ago). I haven't really had any weight loss yet... but I'm still hopeful. It has helped my energy level.
I have also been considering taking GlucoRein PCOS. I'm seeing my dr next week, so I'm going to ask her about it.
Metformin does not work with me at all... tried it 5-6 times over several years. Doesn't matter when I take it or how small of a dose I take... or what I eat.... or the extended version vs the regular... or name brand vs generic.
Anyway-- for me, I'm just really trying to get in control of what I can... food and exercise!
Take care,

Hi,
I have been struggling with PCOS more than 15 years. After years of trying all sorts of drugs, I came to a conclusion that modern medicine is not here to help me but rather to control my symptoms with drugs which cause other symptoms that I have to use more drugs to control. I also found out that after years of trying different treatments( modern and alternative), there is something wrong about my lyphatic drainage system which is the source of the PCOS and weight gain (there are some clinical studies which support my theory).
I'm going to see a Holistic Specialist this Wednesday to go the core of my condition. He is a very reputable OBGYN specialist with an approach to treat the diseases by addressing how body reacts to certain foods and the life style, etc.. I recently cut the wheat and the diary products out of my diet and hoping to loose some weight (I was away from white flour and sugar anyway) . I am also planning to going back to yoga studio which helps me more than any other cardio -exercises and add acupuncture treatment to regulate lymphatic drainage system
I will keep you updated with the outcome from my appointment with the doctor. I want to beat the PCOS once and for all!0
