NSV longest run ever!

Options
Today I ran 5 miles without stopping. Previously, my longest run was 3 miles, and I figured to just go for it today. Feelin pretty proud today! :drinker:

Congrats! That is a wonderful NSV!

One of the best tips i use for running longer distances is to slow down. That always allows me to put in an extra mile or two.

One more mile and you can run a 10K!! (and if you can run 5, you can run 6)

It finally clicked for me when I slowed down. I run pretty darn slown, but I figure running a slow 5 miles is better than running a fast 1/2 mile.

Great job and congrats!!! Yes slowing down is all the difference. I wish someone would have told me that a long time ago. I would crash and burn rather quickly and just came to the conclusion that I couldn't run long distances. Now that I've slowed down I can run about 90 min without stopping.

Very nice. I'd say that you're doing this exactly right. Great run.
