How many sizes have you lost? How many pounds?

Hello everyone. Quick question, how many sizes have you dropped so far? And how many pounds has it taken? I am currently a size 20-22 (uk) and I would like to be a size 10-12 for all the super cheaper clothes. Just like to hear other people's statistics x

  • I am 5'7 was 250lbs and a uk size 22 im now 180lbs uk 12-14 that equates my 70lbs loss to 4 dress sizes. Its different for everyone. When i first got down to 180 i was a size 16 although im still 180lbs im now more a 12-14 due to exercise.

I'm looking to lose another 25 lbs and get to a size 10.

Lost 30 lbs. Went from a size 12/Large to a size 4/6/Small. Should've measured inches, but I was too lazy to do that at the start. I figure it's not too bad for a 42 year old gal! :-)

About 28 pounds turned me from a US 6 or 8 to a 0 (or juniors 1 to 3, depending). I'm 5'4" though and fairly small framed, so it made a pretty big difference.

I'm down about 3 sizes with 70 pounds lost. The bigger you are, the larger loss it takes to go down a size, generally.

I'm estimating 4-5 sizes after losing close to 40 pounds. My heaviest was almost 145; I'm relatively short and small framed- at 5'2".
  • I started in a very tight size 18 and now I am in a very loose 18. I have lost 30 lbs.

I'm very similar to this. I've lost 29 lbs, and went from size 12 to size 4 (that's jeans and dresses) and shirts from a L to a S.

I've lost 2 stone 4lbs and dropped one dress size - but to be fair, I was squeezing into a tight size 16 and now I'm rattling around in a roomy size 14 - haven't dared try 12 yet. But I aim to be down to a 12 for Christmas!

I started at 192 pounds, about a size US 14-16, and I'm now 145 pounds, between a size US 8 and 11. Women's jeans are so complicated with sizes :explode:
  • I am 5'8'' was 228, I lost 42 lbs, 10 inches at the waist and went from pants size 18 (Canada) to a 13.
    Shirts XXL to a L

I've lost 19kg (around 40lb) and gone from a 16 to an 8-10. Most of the actual sizes lost have been since I started StrongLifts in April (when I was on the small end of a 14).

Currently I don't have progress to share, but in the past:

    260lbs to 148lbs (112lbs) went from size 22W pants/2x shirts to size 10 pants/medium in shirts > In 2005/2006, sizes were a bit smaller

    235lbs to 166lbs (69lbs), went from size 18W/20W to size 12 pants. > 2008-2011

This time I'm starting at 226lbs, and I'm 214lbs today (not on the ticker thus far) and I was wearing size 16/18 pants and I still am.

How tall are you? Because my first goal is 70lbs, and i was hoping it would take to a 16, so wondering if you're 5 foot or more like 6, makes a big difference :) x
  • Hi. I was much bigger than you are when I started. I was 351 pounds in a size 30/32. I have lost 167 pounds (I weigh 184 now and still have some to go). I wear mostly size 14 with some 12's and 16's fitting too. And YES, it is much more fun to shop for clothes now and it just keeps on getting better. My best to you!

I've lost 55 pounds (at 5'2") and have gone down 2 shirt sizes and 5 jeans sizes. Thank goodness the jeans that fit me best are inexpensive.

Lost 63.5 pounds, went from a US size 14 to a size 0 (in the same brand), so about 7 jean sizes. In shirts, I went from a large to an xs.

    I am 5'6" btw
