So 5 weeks ago I was an highly unfit and overweight person. Granted I am still overweight, but my fitness is amazing me every training session! Last Friday my trainer told me that next year I will run a marathon. We have decided on the NY Marathon next November. I will be running for the charity through whom we are adopting.

Now as many of you know I am not allowed to weigh myself until 15th November which marks the end of my first 3 months training. However, at the weekend I put on clothes I could not get in to when I went to Cuba in June 2009. At this point I weighed 203lbs. My starting weight on MFP was 249lbs. My first goal was to get under 200lbs by 15th November. In my mind if I am smaller than I was in June 2009, then technically I have within reason reached that first goal and now need to work harder!! Anyway to celebrate I bought my first proper running outfit at the weekend. When I started on MFP I was a UK size 22/24. My running outfit is.........a UK 16!!!! That's in just 5 weeks! I know I probably bore people silly by now BUT exercise and eating right is the only way to do this!

teetee - I agree - I am in smaller outfits than I was in Cuba - I may not weigh less because of building muscle too but the amount of fat on me is less! xxx

Loopy - I think the paleolithic way of eating with one cheat day also helps me - it's very low carb. Mind you I do work out a lot - and hard. Interval training is amazing for fat busting and the running helps me build my general fitness xxx

Pam - thank you chick :) xxx

Buccinator - thank you so much - I kind of needed that this evening. I'm just like this in general - I would hate to not be supported etc and so I just want to be there for others. I know sometimes I would be lost without the support from here xxx

I like that outfit. I just bought an over-priced one this weekend. But sometimes that retail therapy feels good. And showing off all the hard work in a new outfit is fun. Way to go!!!

Don't you just love workout clothes? They are so much fun.

I have a separate closet (not lying) just for my workout clothes. I hang all the tops on hangers, the bottoms on hangers with clips. I have shelves for my gym towels and a long, long shelf for my shoes.

If I could, I'd go to work in gym clothes.

Keep doing what you're doing, girl! I'll be watching to see what happens next month!

I don't have a closet full of workout clothes, but my top two drawers to my highboy has sports bras and workout pants. Then a third drawer for t-shirts and workout tops. I almost considered going to work in my workout clothes. Starting to buy more workout clothes than work clothes. LOL
