I just want to know when Minnie is going to start posting about all the e.coli and salmonella outbreaks caused by vegetables.
Oh that's right, Minnie's just a biased copy pasta troll, so that side of the fear mongering will never get shown...
There ya go...

Chicken is making me lean and hot.
And I even buy it from the USA against recommendations from everyone I know. Boneless, skinless chicken breast here in Canada goes on sale for $4.99 a pound. Across the border, just 20 minutes from my house, I can buy giant packs of it for $1.78/pound. I have no idea why. It's better not to ask questions when feeding a family of 7 on one income.
Exactly. I spend like 4-500 a month for a fam of four!!! Its outrageous. And my boys are toddlers! 2 & 3.0 -
Chicken is a daily staple of mine. Feed me the chickennnnn.0

OMG - hysterical. I kid you not - the ads that come up on Tinypic that you have to type a code in to upload...was for Hot N Spicy McChicken (first I have seen).0 -
Don’t be comforted by the fact that chicken was processed in the U.S. either. Between slaughter and nugget-ization, chicken carcasses endure a host of perversions, making chicken less of a food and more of a food-like substance. They are injected with saltwater solutions to add weight and taste. Their bodies are mechanically separated through a processed called “Advanced Meat Recovery,” stripping the meat off leftover bones and turning it into the poultry version of pink slime. The resulting goop will be washed in ammonia to kill its bacteria population. It will then be cooked into something tasty and sold to you, the unwitting customer. And yes, this process does actually impact the food on your plate: According to a 2009 USDA study, eighty-seven percent of chicken cadavers test positive for E. coli, feces’ favorite bacteria, just before they are packaged and sent to a store near you.0

If you do not like store chickens, don't be a problem - grow your own. Chickens grow quickly, any one who has ever been on a farm knows this.
Be more constructive - get some land and become a farmer - from past experience you will probably have less time to complain on websites like this, and in fact - with all the work you will be doing - you will probably not even need MFP any more.0 -

Wow, is your chicken in America really that bad? Here in Australia most of our chicken (yep, even nuggets) is made from very low or un processed real chicken. Our chicken farms here are some of the cleanest places I have seen (excluding the feathers everywhere). And yes, I have seen chicken farms live first hand an many occasions.0

It's all a conspiracy. The government is trying to make you fat and weak so that when they unleash the zombieland apocalypse on the world you'll end up like the guy dictating the importance of rule #1.0

I believe it is US that are killing the chickens. Good try though!!0

That's because Australia is the land of magic and honey!! Every place in the world is better than the USA!!!0 -
Watch the movie Food Inc to get an idea of our chicken houses... It shows just how unclean they are (as you mentioned).. everyone wants things cheaper and politicians listen to lobbyist money more than health concerns or environmentalists.. so guess who wins... get the organic chicken if you think it bothers you.
That's a great (and horrible) movie.0 -
Good job OP!!! WTG! Keep up the good work.
I'd say what I really think but the mods don't seem to approve of any disagreement in the forums. Seems the only allowable response is SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGMENT!!! So I completely stand by the OP and hope that she keeps spreading lies and misinformation that will only lead to people getting unhealthy as they will think that "eating right" is too hard to do. SO YAAAAAY MINNIE!!!! Keep spreadin them lies!!!!0 -
