I tore my meniscus about 5 weeks ago and have been waiting for a scope. Does anyone have any experience/ ideas for exercising with this injury? Its not as painful now but still uncomfortable. Oh and our pool is closed for maintenance til October.

damn about the pool - I was going to suggest laps with a foam "peanut" supporting your knees (so only using all upperbody). When I tore my meniscus it was that or the ergo-wheel at gym - do you have access to one of those?0

I have a meniscus issue as well. While waiting on MRI and specialist and the inevitable scoping, my doc said that I can do whatever I like, to the limits of my pain tolerance. Fortunately my biggest cardio is cycling, which actually makes it feel better, and the twice a week I run is manageable with ibuprofen. So far, swimming and lifting seem fairly unaffected.0
