Clean eating challenge!

Starting a clean eating challenge on 9/15 and would love to have some MFP friends join!
Rules:
1. Eating as clean as possible for 7 days
2. Helping to create a positive and encouraging environment for the other people in the group
I'm not interested in debating the pros and cons of clean eating-- I've made the decision to eliminate/minimize the processed and refined foods in my diet. You don't have to agree with it, I respect your decision to do whatever you do with your eating and ask the same in return :-)
Message me if you're interested in joining! Have a blessed day!

Thanks for suggesting this challenge, count me in! I would love to see the recipes that others have either:
1. "cleaned up" like the Honey Apple Lime Coffee Cake recipe I posted in August - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/takerbrat/view/recipe-re-do-honey-apple-lime-coffee-cake-original-and-gluten-free-567314
2. adapted for their own use like the ones based on Tosca Reno's Clean Eating recipes that I just posted - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/takerbrat/view/moroccan-thai-jamaican-good-for-you-food-doesn-t-have-to-be-boring-5729500 -
There are lots of views on what is "clean eating", I personally am trying to eliminate pre-packaged, processed foods; as well as refined sugar and wheat flour (the last is out of necessity, not choice). I haven't given up my coffee, nor have I given up the occasional glass of red wine .0

This recipe is clean and versatile - try it with a side salad for a light lunch, use it as a side dish to salmon, chicken or pork kebabs to get your protein numbers up, AND have the left-overs for breakfast! I just posted a recipe for a vegan chili, if you don't have access to fresh pumpkin add 1 can refried beans and a cup and a half of frozen corn - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/takerbrat/view/pumpkin-not-just-for-pie-5778420

I completely agree with this. I think that everyone can benefit by not eating unhealthy or processed foods for seven days. I've been mostly doing it for a week now already. So I am going to keep on doing it. I have 100+ pounds to go and I've already lost 8 in a week or two just by cutting out processed, junk, sweet, and other bad foods and drinks. It's time to take our lives back one step at a time.0

For a while now I have attempted to drop refined sugars, coffee, white products and eat more clean raw foods. I would love to join in and get some great tips and help achieving a healthier lifestyle.0
