ok am I crazy here...it says to add flour, cocoa, sugar and SALT. But there is no mention of salt in the ingredients! I even looked at the weblink and it says the same thing...anyone have any idea how much you should add, or if you should add it at all? I love brownies!!!!! (I just noticed this about the oil thing too...weird)

Well it says "Pour in öil, vanilla, applesauce and eggs." It does not say "Pour in vanilla, applesauce and eggs." So it seems to me like a small amount of oil must have been required in the original recipe.

Probably a 1/2 cup oil in the original recipe. You substitute applesauce for the oil, at a 1:1 ratio, to lighten the calories. It just as good, trust me. Ignore the references to oil if you use applesauce.

No wonder it's so low fat - 24 servings in an 8x8" pan? They must be miniscule.

Another incredible way to make brownies is with a rinsed can of black beans pureed in the food processor with 1/4 of water and a tsp. of instant coffee and a tsp of vanilla added to one box of brownie mix....thats it, four ingredients. My teenage boys love them so I know they don't taste 'diet'. Plus the beans don't add any sugar and they do add fiber!:noway:

Yea that's less than 2x2! Which is my idea of a normal serving XD
