Coffee Flavored Yogurt

Ok, my first attempt at a coffee flavored Chobani yogurt...dismal failure.

1 6 oz Chobani fat free plain yogurt
1 packet of starbucks Via, columbian
3 packets of splenda

Bitterest thing ever, and I like coffee. The color looked right, the texture was fine, but it was just too much like dumping the via right on my tongue (which, btw, I do NOT recommend).

Back to the drawing board on that one.

I normally just sprinkle a little instant coffee on plain or vanilla yoghurt.

I use the vanilla Greek yogurt and a coffee packet (I don't add any sweetener.). I've used the Via packets, but I more often use the Folgers packets. I'm cheap.

Did you use the whole via packet in 1 yogurt? 'Cause I'm looking to cut that baby in half next time.

Yes, I use the whole packet. But I like a strong coffee flavor. The Folgers packets are less bitter than Via though, so you might like them better.

oooh i did this out of a totally random thought....i had plain yogurt in the fridge and it was so blah...so i mixed in a normal tsp of nescafe instant coffee...the amount for one 8oz cup of coffee....then added a bit of vanilla flavored Torani syrup.....beat it well then stuck it back in the fridge until it was cold....OMG...it was soooo yummy!!

so i froze some...and scooped it out , drizzled it with some chocolate syrup and nuts...SOOO GOOOD!!

Obviously, I'm going to have to keep trying.

Putting Torani syrup on my list. I've got all sorts of fruit flavors, but am out of vanilla.

I had some Hazelnut flavored syrup too..ooooh im gonna go get some yogurt and try it with that too. nutty flavors would work great with coffee anything, im sure....the thing with instant coffee though...i had to really beat it well to get the granules to dissolve...next time i shall dissolve it in the syrup .... then blend.

Was just thinking of this for desert...but I guess I don't need any late night coffee. I'll get it in the morning.
