Help - too many calories left!

I've burnt quite a few calories today and despite having not had my evening meal yet, I have had a couple of snacks, but I still have over 1000 calories left to eat! If I eat a healthy dinner (with veg) then I'm not going to be anywhere near that amount, but don't want to have to force myself to eat either. Any advice?

Dark chocolate, nuts, ice cream. Or a generous slice of dried fruit cake, that'll bring it up to your goal pretty quickly. Otherwise, don't stress too much and for future perhaps plan better so that you don't end up going too low with your cal intake on a regular basis.

Define a healthy dinner...I can easily have a healthy dinner with veg that is approaching 600 + calories. You do realize that you need dietary fat as well right...not just fruit and veg? Saute or roast those veggies in olive oil....have a side of potatoe or rice or something...a nice hunk of meat is also a nice touch. Then have some desert and maybe a glass or two of wine. EZ

Adding something like sweet potato fries can add on some calories too (depending on how many you make and eat) while still being healthy! You could make a smoothie/milkshake as well with a banana, a cup of milk of your choice, and then whatever else you want to add. Peanut butter might be a good choice. There's also a lot of recipes for healthy "cookies" made just from mixing together oats and a banana or oats and pumpkin puree. Add some spices or fruit into those and they taste really good too.

If you still have romm for carbs, do carbs.

If you have room for fat, add in nuts.

    Add in some more protein.

One day of way under will not hurt. Try to eat a nice nutrition dense dinner.

i could eat a 1/2 cup of almonds and drink a glass of 1% chocolate milk and be at 680 calories and that is barely a snack... 1000 calories is really not that much in the grand scheme of things...

Thanks for all your advice, looks like got a bit of shopping to do tomorrow - just in case - and definately need to plan a bit more in future. I ended up having a chicken sandwich and soup cos it got a bit late in the end and I couldn't be bothered cooking.
