If I'm under my calorie goal each day, even if just by 100 calories, on Friday I can have a splurge with a big Mexican food dinner--enchilada, steak, beans and rice with guacamole and a hot flour tortilla. I look forward to that one!

More on a daily basis, I go for ice cream or a snickers, but for savory I like cheese or avocado-or both! Avocado and provolone cheese sandwich is so good:)

Wedding cake ice cream or cinnamon raisin toast with butter.

Edit to add: My answer was based on the original question of having leftover calories at the end of the day. If it was an entire meal, I'd have to say Indian food.

I do love cinnamon raisin toast with butter...good cup of coffee...on a crisp morning *sigh*. Now that sounds really good. Must eat breakfast.

Savory: Japanese food in general, or Ikura Don to be specific,or some nice pasta, pizza, real huge juicy burger, steak, dimsum, Hinanese Chicken Rice, Rice with braised pork lrg in 5spice sauce and...um....garlic bread, the kind that is crispy outside and soft and chewy inside. But if I have to choose one of them, it is Japanese food.

Sweet: Mint Ice cream, Japanese style Strawberry Shortcake

    You guys have wonderful ideas.

I have found I am able to add both cheese and milk and good bread back in my diet! A little at at time.

(I ALWAYS have calories for 1/4 cup of ice cream with cashews and a square of Ritters dark chocolate.)

Love toasted raisin bread, maybe a yogurt or cheese and crackers, and of course love a wee chocolate bar xo
  • Spicy Buffalo Wheat Thins (I can seriously consume an entire box)
    Pizza
    Chinese Food
  • I'm from the south, so anything fried is a splurge for me! This past saturday: beer, fried chicken, part of a funnel cake and Florida State football! It was awesome!
  • Favorite splurge is rewarding myself once a week with frozen yogurt topped with any/all the toppings I feel like that day! Yum!

I have done this many times as well and love it! I just load it up and don't let it bother me;)

I'm with both of you ladies! Sweet Frog is wayyyyy too good to pass up sometimes! :)

I can't say I have a splurge food because I include all the goodness above in my daily diet. I am determined not to deprive myself of anything or it defeats the purpose!

Chocolate of course, but the savory bomb is Poutine. Fries, gravy, cheese curds - there is nothig more perfect or more unhealthy. Back in the bar days wouldn't go home without hitting up a fast food place that served it really greasy. (I know - a very Canadian Response).

There is nothing like French fries swimming in gravy! Cheese on top is just like icing on the savory cake! Poutine for sure...but so hard to find in the 757...

I get the Josephs flax and oat bran lavash bread wraps at Walmart, cut them into bite size pieces, spray with some EVOO, lightly season and then toast hem in the oven on both sides until they are crispy. LOVE them, and I always sneak a bag in the theater so I don't cheat with the popcorn. I get the popcorn seasonings they sell at the store and use those LIGHTLY to spice my chips up. I have also replace my bread items with this wrap as well. An entire sheet is 100 calories and the serving size is half and I can't eat half. I cut my sheet into 6 pieces for bread items or sammies. Try them--you will like them, and my daughter has tried them with cinnamon sugar too. BTW--these are in the deli dept.
  • PEROGIES !!! Sauteed in onion butter
  • Doesn't Dairy Queen sell those? sounds good
  • Nutella...scooped with non fat greek yogurt...or ice water half and half with milk and peanut butter...homemade soft gooie muffins of any kind...gooey stuff. And dark choclate, anything frozen. I keep cakes frozen and then i will go and bite them.
